| I found some more beautiful pictures taken by John and Amanda onboard Mahina, when sailing the same leg north earlier this summer passing by the same places as Karolina did on her way south. Lacking pictures taken by Karolina herself so far, I think these pictures can give an impression of the beauty of the places Karolina has seen. Isnt it beautiful?!
Currently, Mahina is pressing on southbound along the Norwegian west coast sailing day and night with the goal to arrive and pass Lindesnes, the southernmost tip of Norway before the gale with southern winds arrives. They are racing against the warm front scheduled to arrive on Sunday morning. Lindesnes is another of these dangerous kaps in Norway where currently there are just some 4 m waves with no gale, which will rapidly change, when the warm front arrives... Will they make it? So, with Mahina far offshore and me going to LEGOLAND with the kids for two days (!), you wont be hearing from me until Sunday, the earliest! I hope I can then report Mahina safely in port. Mandal, just passed the rock of Lindesnes on the Norwegian south coast, is planned as the next destination. Have a great week-end! |
